“ADDICTION” a word which we come across almost every day in our lives, a word which has destroyed many lives, has inspired our next speaker to share her views and experiences on it, so here we present the 10th episode of SHARDA TALK featuring Naina speaking on “ADDICTION TO DRUGS AND ALCOHOL”. Drugs addiction is problem which is spreading like a plague on the entire planet. What starts from just a onetime try for many children ends up converting into a habit which even they can’t control. Speaking these lines Naina shares a story of her friend who got addicted to drugs after the catastrophic death of his father and who became the reason for her mother’s paralysis due to his uncontrolled urge for drugs. A story which is best heard in her voice. After narrating the incidence Naina speaks how drugs have ruined so many lives. She speaks who students try these things initially just for the sake of fun and then end up being the slaves of it, how they ruin their lives and goals, just for a pleasure, which is not even real and how they become victims of the biggest disease humans have ever faced “ADDICTION”. Naina speaks how parents can help their child in overcoming this problem by speaking with them, helping them, talking to them because at the end compassion is what such a child seeks for. At the end Naina says that a person who is addicted to drugs is himself a cure for it because he is the one who can stop it, so if he wants to stop it, he should do it now because there is no next time….
